Acting as a coordinating body, FMCCS liaises with the Central Registrar of Co-operative Societies, Ministry of Cooperation (Government of India), Reserve Bank of India, State Governments, NABARD, and other financial institutions to promote the development of the co-operative credit sector.

FMCCS also extends research and consultancy support to help member societies strengthen their organizational capabilities. In addition, it organizes conferences, seminars, workshops, and meetings that encourage knowledge-sharing and contribute to informed policy-making.

Through these initiatives, FMCCS remains committed to fostering a strong, sustainable, and progressive co-operative credit ecosystem for its members and the sector at large.

About us

The Federation of Multi-State Co-operative Credit Societies Ltd. (FMCCS) was established on 26th February 2016 with the objective of strengthening and supporting the co-operative credit movement. With a membership base of 160 societies, FMCCS serves as a unifying platform for collaboration, growth, and policy advocacy. It provides a common forum for member co-operative credit societies to discuss challenges related to credit, finance, and allied areas while evolving effective strategies to address them. The Federation also works to promote and safeguard the interests of its member societies, ensuring their collective perspectives are represented across all aspects of their operations.
